International Amateur Poker League (IAPL) - Spring SessionSpring League - Starting April 1st., 2008.Play for fun and prizes against opponents from all over the world. League play commences Tuesday, April 1st., and continues each Tuesday thereafter for a total of 8 weeks. Players accumulate points based on their finishing position for their best 6 of the 8 weeks of play. Scoring is according to your finish e.g. 1 for first, 2 for second etc., lowest score is best. Players that finished in the top 15% of the Spring League play will get a bye into the WAPT Spring League "Grand Finale" tournament. Players who play in at least 5 of the 8 games will be eligible to compete for additional seats in the Grand Finale by finishing in the top 15% in a "Grand Finale Qualifier". World ranking points are distributed at the end of regular league play, based on the final standings and also the top 15% finishers of the Grand Finale. All WAPT members are welcome. 2008 Spring League StandingsWorld Ranking Point System (WRPS)™IAPL regular league final standings and grand finale results are World Ranking Point System (WRPS)™ sanctioned. Points accumulated during IAPL sessions count towards the various WAPT challenges including the Amateur Player of the Year, Quarterly Awards program and World Series of Poker (WSOP) challenges. 2008 FormatThe 2008 Spring League will be hosted at various on-line and brick and mortar locations including, Absolute Poker, PokerStars, the "free" WAPT Cardroom and Poker4Ever. Note that world ranking points are accumulated at a higher rate in real money tourneys. SessionsSpring League Private Invitational (Starting April 1st.)If you wish to enter a private team in the WAPT International Amateur Poker League (IAPL), drop us an email and we will set up a private division for your organization. Spring League North America (Starting April 1st.)Registrations will be accepted for "one" league session only! Duplicate registrations will be disqualified. Spring League Grand FinaleThe Grand Finale tournament is WRPS sanctioned. Click here, for information on world ranking points accumulated through 2008 WAPT league play. The Grand Finale Qualifier tournaments are held at approved sites where the software is capable of handing private, real money tournaments such as PokerStars, Absolute Poker and WAPT Cardroom. Grand Finale and other free roll tournaments are held at approved sites where the software is capable of handling free roll tournaments, where no shows are automatically culled or registrations are controlled from a list, such as Poker4Ever and the WAPT Cardroom.
